At last windows vista reconises uafc and assigned it com port 18 when i try this in uafc edit , it puts up an error message "run-time error 8002 invalid port number". when you click ok on error box it close ufac edit.

changed uafc com port setting
in device manager to com 1 and it conected up,
i think com 18 was too high for edit as it said it was invalid,

How high the com # should not matter.I only tested the software in XP. Vista may have problems.

yes windows vista seems to not like serial conections
as i had problems with jaw conecting up until i bought usb to serial connection from the list on the fourm,
i tryed other converters that friends gave me an vista reconised them but not what was connected to it.
